DESCRIPTION OF THE PROVISION OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE FOR ISSUANCE OF A PERMIT FOR COMMERCIAL FISHING IN OTHER MARINE WATERS

3. Information and documents to be provided by a person Application for a commercial fishing permit.

If an economic entity wishes to obtain a fishing permit for commercial fishing in the waters of the third countries with which the European Union has not signed a fishing agreement, it is also necessary to provide a fishing permit issued by a competent authority of the third country in the waters of which fishing is intended; that permit shall indicate the vessel name, species (s) of fish and quantities of fish and the period of validity of the permit.

4. Information and documents to be received by the institution (an employee, dealing with the application) 4.1. Information on the fishing quota allocated to the user of the fish stocks for the species (s) covered by the application and, if the fishing quota of this fish species is not allocated to the users of the fish stocks, whether they are included in the lists of the users of the fish stocks, authorized to fish in a certain fishing area, and the lists are approved by order of  Director of the Fisheries Service, and, in the case of commercial fisheries under European Union agreements with foreign countries, a fishing permit, issued by a competent authority of the foreign country.

4.2. Information on whether the economic entity has been deprived of the right to fish by the fishing vessel of the Republic of Lithuania, for the operation of which it is requesting to issue a permit for commercial fishing in marine waters,  and whether the validity of the permit, issued for commercial fishing to the same fishing vessel of the Republic of Lithuania, is not under suspension.

4.3. Information as to whether a fishing vessel of the Republic of Lithuania for which an application for a permit for commercial fishing in marine waters is submitted, has not been enlisted in the EU IUU vessel list, approved by Commission Regulation (EU) No 468/2010 of 28 May 2010 on the establishing the EU list of vessels engaged in illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.

4.4. When applying for a permit for commercial fishing in marine waters, allowing to catch deep-sea species for fish, it is needed to provide information on compliance with the rules, set forth in article 4 of Regulation (EC) No 2347/2002.

9. Application form, example of filling in and application content The application is written in a free form. It shall include:

9.1. the type of the fishing permit applied for;

9.2. the name of the fishing vessel for which the fishing permit is being requested;

9.3. the fishing area;

9.4. the species (s) for which the fishing permit is requested;

9.5. the preferred date of entry into force of the fishing permit.
